And the Winner is….

June 5, 2012

Thank you finalists!  As so many voters commented, all the pictures were stunning and were a pleasure for all of us.  You didn’t make voting easy!.  But, there can only be one winner….

We’re so happy to announce the winner of our Backyard Wildlife Photo Contest!  Congratulations Christopher Pettitte for winning with his hummingbird image number 4.  Christopher has won our backyard wildlife package including a Block Feeder, a Jumbo Snack Block to go with it, a bag of Snack Jax and a ground bird bath.

Again, thank you so much finalists and voters for taking the time to enter and vote in our contest.  It was so much fun for us at Duncraft too!  Here’s another look at Christopher’s image:

Harder to catch a bird hummingbird in flight, even harder to catch the water droplets and the hummingbird! My hat is off to the photographer!!

I would be thrilled to see them all in my backyard, and some of them I do, but I’m going to have to vote for the foxes —#13. ( 18 was a close second for me).

Fran June 10, 2012 at 7:08 am

I vole for no. 16
Mama protecting her babies is always a winner

Bob & Dee June 10, 2012 at 8:17 am

Sandra Dee June 10, 2012 at 9:36 am

All photo’s were extreme! I would have to vote for number 16 due to the fact my momma racoon brought her babies by for my cornbread and they were all lined up like the family in this photo.

Bruce June 10, 2012 at 9:51 am

They are all great but I feed the Ducks in our neighborhood ponds and that one is special to me. Good Luck to all!

#17, babies look lost waiting for Mom to return maybe or out on their own for first time.

Dave June 10, 2012 at 1:53 pm

#4 Amazing

Tim Shuman June 10, 2012 at 2:21 pm

All the pictures are outstanding, but I must vote for #2. To see a bear in the wild is extremely difficult. To see a 1st year bear is a treat you may see only onuce in a lifetime. To see three 1st year bears up the same tree is a billion to one opportunity never to be repetted in your lifetime.

Laura June 10, 2012 at 2:29 pm

# 11 Beautiful

Gayle June 10, 2012 at 2:47 pm

#13 to see these in broad daylight is pretty unusual. We have a woods and only seen one fox in 20 yrs and it was just getting light out. But liked no. 2 second. Hard to choose though all beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing!

Judy Porter June 10, 2012 at 5:41 pm

I vote for #4.
They were all just fantastic and it was a hard choice. I loved them all.
