Our jaw dropped in awe when we saw the video, included below, of not only one…but three Pileated Woodpeckers. All in the same place at the same time! These birds almost look like dinosaurs because they measure around 19 inches long, which is larger than most birds you see at your feeder. And they have a prehistoric-looking red crest with white stripes along their neck.
“Thank you Duncraft!” said Duncraft Customer and Facebook fan Sherri Bailey Scanlon. “Love my tailprop feeder and so do all my woodies, bluebirds, cardinals, titmice, blue jays and probably others.”
“I’m really glad everyone has enjoyed this video as much as I did making it,” she continued. “Every spring parent Pileated Woodpeckers bring their young for suet. It so much fun watching them getting fed and trying to learn how to fly to the feeder. Thanks again Duncraft and ~Dawn!”
